How it works
Impromptu speaking is a skill you build by doing it. Each day takes about two minutes.
- 1
Draw a surprise topic
A fresh prompt every session. Nothing to prepare, nothing to rehearse.
- 2
Speak for sixty seconds
No script and no retakes. Hit record and answer out loud.
- 3
Read your feedback
Filler words, pauses, pace, clarity and confidence, the moment you stop talking.
- 4
Come back tomorrow
A new topic every day. Your streak and past takes show how far you’ve come.
Feedback the moment you stop talking
Your take is transcribed as you speak, then scored. You see exactly which words slowed you down and one thing to try tomorrow.
00:00 / 01:00
Strong opening premise, but the middle loses shape.
"um," "like," "you know" cluster around your transitions. Replace with a half-second pause.
Hedges ("kind of," "I guess") soften the closer.
“Great image — ‘a quiet pocket.’ Try opening with it instead of burying it in the middle.”

Why this exists
A few months ago, I got tired of rehearsing what I'd say in meetings and never actually saying it. So I built a small daily ritual: one surprise topic, sixty seconds, no script, no retakes.
Day one was rough. I hedged every sentence and lost my thread twice. Two weeks later I was answering faster, cutting the filler words, and finishing my point before anyone could interrupt.
I'm sharing it for anyone else who's ready to stop sounding unsure of themselves.
